How much does it cost to carpet a bedroom?
A 12 by 12 bedroom is 144 square feet. At the posted Basic rate of $3.82 that is about $550 all-in. Premium at $4.50 is about $648, Elite at $5.50 about $792, and Ultra at $6.50 about $936. Every one of those numbers includes the carpet, the pad, tack strips, the install, take-up and haul-away of the old carpet, and tax. The exact figure comes off the free measure.
How much does LVP cost for a main level?
A 500 square foot main level at Essential is 500 times $5.00, or $2,500 all-in, with plank, underlayment and install included. Signature runs $2,875 to $3,500 and Reserve $3,500 to $4,000, with the exact number set by the plank you pick at the measure. If carpet is coming up first, conversion prep adds $0.75 a square foot, so $375 on that level.
How much does it cost to carpet stairs?
Carpeted stairs are priced per step by tier: $50 Basic, $58 Premium, $68 Elite, $78 Ultra, with a $500 minimum per staircase. Thirteen steps at Basic is $650, at Premium $754, at Elite $884, at Ultra $1,014. Ten steps at Basic is $500, which is the minimum.
How much does basement flooring cost?
A 600 square foot finished basement in Premium carpet is 600 times $4.50, or $2,700 all-in. The same basement in Essential LVP is $3,000, and the vapor barrier on the slab is included in that number. The slab gets a moisture test before LVP goes down. Laminate is never installed below grade.
How much is a carpet restretch or repair?
Every repair visit carries a $200 trip minimum. A restretch is $225 for the first room, $100 for each added room the same trip, and $75 for a hall. Three rooms and a hall is $500. Patches start at $200, then $85 each for added patches the same trip. A restretch usually saves the carpet; new carpet is rarely the answer to ripples.
Are these prices really all-in?
Yes. Every posted rate is tax-included and covers the material, the pad or underlayment, and the install. The only additions are posted add-ons chosen before install day, like furniture moving from $50 a room or quarter round at $3.50 a linear foot. Nothing gets added mid-job. The figures on this page are the posted rate multiplied by the square footage; the estimate uses the measured number, which is why the measure is free.
How do I pay, and is there a card fee?
Check, cash or bank draft, no fee. Card through Square works too and adds 3.3%, which is what the processor charges me, passed through at cost. The deposit is 50% to book, rounded up to the nearest $50, and the balance is due at the final walkthrough.
What happens if the subfloor needs work once the old floor is up?
If I can see it at the measure, it is on the estimate as its own line, priced before you sign. If it is hiding under carpet, the estimate carries an allowance line and nothing beyond basic prep happens until you have approved a written change order. The surprise never shows up on the invoice.
How soon can you install after I say yes?
Most installs land one to two weeks after the deposit. Indiana gives you a three-day cancellation window on any home improvement contract, so the deposit clears that window first, then your material is ordered and your dates are locked. Repairs are usually same week.
