Already have the carpet? I cut customer-supplied carpet to the size you want, finish the edge, and hand it back as a finished rug. Same posted edge rates as every rug I build.

Pickup and return inside Hamilton County is included. Drop it off and pick it up at our shop and take $25 off. Outside Hamilton County, pickup is quoted. A 5 × 7 bound rug is $150, the minimum, picked up and returned.

Text me the size and the edge you want

Carpet you supply is inspected when we take it in. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, stains, odor, delamination, or wear, and some carpet (loose weave, dry or crumbling backing, very thick or very thin pile) will not hold a clean edge. If a piece will not finish well, we tell you before we cut and you pay nothing. Once a piece is cut, the cut is final. Our one-year workmanship warranty covers the edge we put on, not the carpet it goes on.

Common questions

Can you make a rug from any carpet?

Yes — any carpet in my samples, or customer-supplied carpet, can be cut to size and bound into a finished rug. That includes odd sizes, extra-long runners, and custom shapes with curves.

How much does a custom rug cost?

It depends on the carpet you pick and the size — the material is priced by what your rug requires, edge finishing runs from $3.50 per linear foot around the full perimeter, and delivery is quoted flat by the rug's size. Text me the dimensions and carpet style you're after and I'll give you the full number same day.

What's the difference between binding and serging?

Binding is a clean fabric strip sewn over the edge — classic and durable, $3.50/LF. Serging wraps the edge in continuous yarn for a softer, rounded, more finished look at $6.50/LF. A wide canvas border at $22.95/LF gives the designer statement edge you see in showrooms.

Can you bind customer-supplied carpet?

Yes. Customer-supplied carpet is cut to size and finished at the posted edge rates: binding $3.50/LF, serging $6.50/LF, canvas $22.95/LF, inside corners $25 each. The minimum is $150 per order. Pickup and return inside Hamilton County is included; drop it off and pick it up at our shop and take $25 off. Outside Hamilton County, pickup is quoted.
