Which tier is yours

All four are real carpet from the same residential lines I install in whole homes. The tier moves the fiber, the pad, and how the carpet holds up to the life in the room. Samples come to your home. Want to see more? I will meet you at a showroom by appointment, with name brands like Stanton, and I can source the major lines beyond what I stock.

Basic. Rentals, guest rooms, a budget bedroom. Everyday polyester on a rebond pad. It is the honest floor for a room that needs to look clean and not cost much. At $3.82 a square foot, a 12 by 12 bedroom runs about $550 all-in.
Premium. Most homes land here. A stain-resistant fiber over a moisture barrier pad. Spills wipe up instead of wicking down. This is the tier I recommend for living rooms, hallways and kids' rooms, and it is what most of my clients pick once they have the samples in hand.
Elite. Pets, sun, and heavy traffic. Pet-rated and fade-resistant fiber on a moisture barrier pad. Built for a dog that runs the hallway and a window that gets afternoon sun. Denser face weight, so it forgives more.
Ultra. The softest grades I install. The thickest, plushest lines, on a moisture barrier cushion pad. If you want the floor you sink into in a primary bedroom or a finished basement, this is that tier.

Common questions

How much does carpet installation cost?
From $3.82 a square foot at Basic to $6.50 at Ultra, all-in. That covers the carpet, pad, tack strips, install, take-up and haul-away of the old carpet, and tax. A 12 by 12 bedroom at Basic runs about $550. Measure your rooms, multiply by the posted rate, and you have a real number before I ever visit. The exact figure comes off the measure.
What does "all-in" include, and what costs extra?
Included at every tier: carpet, pad, tack strips, install, take-up and haul-away of the old carpet and pad, basic subfloor prep, standard carpet transitions, and a one-year labor warranty. Priced separately and always quoted upfront: carpeted stairs from $50 a step, furniture moving from $50 a room, and any subfloor leveling beyond basic prep. Nothing gets added mid-job.
Can I see more than the samples you bring?
Yes. Samples come to your home free on every install, and if you want the full lineup, I will meet you at a showroom by appointment. I work with reputable suppliers and carry name brands like Coretec, Cali and Stanton, and I can source major brands beyond what I stock. Sourced floors are quoted after the measure.
Do you move furniture?
Yes, $50 and up per room depending on what is in it, quoted exactly on the estimate. Clear the small stuff and the breakables and I handle the rest. If you would rather empty the room yourself, the line comes off.
Can you carpet the stairs too?
Yes, and stairs are priced separately, per step by carpet tier: $50 at Basic, $58 Premium, $68 Elite, $78 Ultra, with a $500 minimum per staircase. Wall-to-wall carpeted stairs are a different system from a stair runner. The full breakdown is on the carpet stairs page.
My carpet has ripples or a pet stain. Do I need new carpet?
Usually not. Ripples mean the carpet was knee-kicked when it went in and the fix is a restretch, $225 for the first room. Pet damage and burns get patched from $200. Every repair visit carries a $200 trip minimum. Text me a photo and I will tell you straight whether it is a repair or a replace. Details on the carpet repair page.
